The iCluster Ecosystem seeks to impact the socioeconomic environment and achieve sustainable regional development by identifying growth opportunities through high-impact entrepreneurship, gender equalitydigital transformation, and international cooperation, adding environmental protection.

The iCluster economic development strategy revolves around innovation clusters. The analysis of the 2014 official datasets produced the cluster map, compatibility reached by the United States, Mexico, and Canada and the Mexico-US value networks, focusing on supply chains established between Mexico and the United States that originate in 5 border states and 4 interior states.

Challenge: Border Development

It is a catalyst for economic development in North America as contemplated by the dialogue established by Mexico and the United States (HLED). It involved bilateral cooperation concerted actions focused on the border shared by both countries to identify the economic activity and border value networks, enriched by other International Cooperation actions.

Challenge: Interior Development

iCluster focused on regions of the interior of Mexico with a high incidence in manufacturing activities and Mexico-US import and export flows, identifying interior value networks to link establishments participating in inter-related industry sectors, enable them with knowledge and promote their products and services in the binational supply chains.

Sustainability

Represents a concerted action of the iCluster Ecosystem creating a model based on environmental responsibility and Sustainable Energy that identifies viable opportunities for the sustainable development of regions (at a macroeconomic level) and establishments (at a microeconomic level), considering the conservation of the environment and the well-being of future generations as a priority.
