Initiatives
Background
Project iCluster started in 2013 from multiple projects that started since 2010 as open innovation spaces each enabled by the co-creation of knowledge communities and supported by public and private funds and international agreements.

As the leading project execution organization on an international scale, the Mexican Technology Platform (MTP) was responsible since 2013 for coordinating the iCluster initiatives and interacting with stakeholders through partner organizations, allied organizations, the MUSEIC Innovation Clusters Subcommittee, the CONECTA 2020 consortium, and the AL-LAs consortium. The MTP convened stakeholders and end users from diverse regions who linked in person through regional meetings and events, and linked online through knowledge networks.
