Value Network Mapping

Red de negocios

The purpose of this methodology is to decompose a supply chain of a particular sector represented by North American economic activity classes into more granular blocks that not only provide tactical information to the participating economic units, but also help to identify the traceability of the supply chains.

Methodology enables value network focus (iCluster)

The value network mapping methodology applied to binational supply chains associated with different clusters in various regions. The data obtained through the iCluster regional pilots are representative of real cases that show the dynamism of binational trade, enabling "precision shots" when defining trade strategies. A value network allows identifying the traceability of inputs, intermediate products and final products that are associated with economic activities of binational supply chains that sometimes reflect multiple border crossings in both directions. Likewise, a value network is broken down into economic activities associated with commercialization, administrative and support services, and related industries that are involved in binational industrial corridors

ICT Value Network Linkages (iCluster)

The ICT sector is a related-industry cross-cutting example of all value networks, associated with any industry sector and forms part of the core pillar of the innovation clusters strategy.

The Value Network Mapping methodology was refined by iCluster partner organizations during the three phases of the iCluster Project.
