What is a Value Network?

A virtual knowledge network that is convened around a production chain defined through internationally accepted methodologies and datasets, represented by raw materials, intermediate components, final products, commercialization, related industries, and services & support industries to enable contextual linkages among participating companies that contribute value as part of their economic activity.

For the analysis of value networks developed during the three phases of the iCluster Project, methodologies exchanged in the process of international cooperation with the United States and Canada allowed to identify opportunities for sustainable regional development, strengthening the iCluster smart specializations strategy.

The iCluster knowledge models correlate data from economic activity at a binational level with imports, exports and other inputs from internationally accepted datasets, as well as technological trends from an Innovation Agenda, offering technology vigilance to add value to supply chains originating in the region.
